Expansion Tanks
STATICO refers to variable pressure expansion tanks with a pre-set air cushion. Applicable to all systems with a maximum operating pressure less than 300kPa and an expansion volume up to 450 litres per tank.
-There are 3 groups of products available in this category
- The SD-Series ranging from 8L to 80L tank size
- The SU-Series from 140L to 800L nominal tank volume
- The SG-Series with nominal capacities of 1000L up to 5000L
-All 3 groups come standard for 3 bar operating systems. Higher pressure tanks (6 & 10bar) are also available on request.
-Can be mounted on the wall or floor (depending on size).
-Importantly, ALL 3 categories of above expansion tanks incorporate rubber-butyl bags which eliminates system water being in contact with the cylinder walls - unlike diaphragm tanks of most other suppliers - and thus drastically extending the service life and allowing the tanks being pressurised with standard air (no Nitrogen required).
COMPRESSO Systems are constant pressure expansion tanks, which incorporate pressure maintenance controls and air compressor/s to maintain specific system operating conditions. These systems are generally used where the expansion volume exceeds 500 litres and/or where the static system pressure is in excess of 250 kPa.
-Tank sizes available range from 300 to 5000 Litres.
-The maximum standard tank design pressures ranges from 6 to 15 bars depending on tank size. Vessels for higher operating pressures are available on request.
-Important, all Compresso tanks are designed and manufactured to the AS1210 Pressure Vessel Code.
-The TecBox control unit comes with an inbuilt compressor/s, valve manifold with spill and safety valve, Fill-Safe water make-up monitoring and the BrainCube providing self-optimising control with memory function and Silentrun operation with the pressure optimised start mode.
-Assembly kit for air-and water-side connection of the TecBox with the primary tank and to the system expansion line.
-Tanks can be vented at the top with a condensate drain at the bottom. Two flanged openings for internal inspections, corrosion-protected internal coatings for minimum bag wear.
TRANSFERO systems are also constant pressure expansion tanks with pressure maintenance controls, but using a spill tank with an in-built liner (open to atmosphere) for the expansion water and pumps to transfer the water back into the operating system. The Transfero systems are mainly used for projects with very large expansion volumes (> 2000 litres) and/or high operating pressures.
-Tank sizes available: 200-5000 Litres.
-TecBox control unit which comes with pump/s and spill valve/s. Dynaflex elastic, speed-controlled operation. Fill safe water make-up monitoring, BrainCube control, self-optimising with memory function.
-Includes convoluted stainless steel hoses with seals for connection to the primary tank. With protected isolating valves to the system.
General Tank Information
-Airproof butyl bag according to EN 13831, CE design tested according to PED/DEP 97/23/EC.
-5 year warranty for the vessel and airproof butyl bag.
-Berylium in colour.
-Addition of antifreeze agent allowable up to 50%.
-Option to control water make-up through a PLENO P (Compresso and Transfero only), or NA3 - or NA5- Auto Refill units (refer to separate brochure).
-Tanks are designed for heating-, solar-, chilled- and condenser water systems.
-For systems operating at 90°C or higher, it is advisable to provide an intermediate tank of suitable capacity. There is a wide range of Pneumatex DU- and DG-Series tanks available with 6 bar or 10 bar design pressures. Special sized tanks for higher operating pressures are available on request.
-Tanks are designed for heating-, solar-, chilled- and condenser water systems.
-All SD- & SU- series tanks are normally supplied as a Packaged Expansion System incorporating fill- , check- , drain- and safety valve, as well as an Auto air vent, all pre-piped ready for wall mounting and connection to the system return.
-Tanks are designed for heating-, solar-, chilled- and condenser water systems.
